HOW TO DEAL WITH WRITER'S BLOCK

Writer's block is a condition, primarily associated with writing, in which an author is unable to produce new work or experiences a creative slowdown. This creative stall is not a result of commitment problems or the lack of writing skills.

As a writer, it is certain that you must encounter writer's block, it is normal but it gets better if you can stick to writing at all times.

There are different kinds of writer's block;

(1) Fear of exposure: Many writers freeze when they imagine a future audience reading over emotionally raw or intellectually daring pieces. 

2: Perfectionism: Trying to make your work look perfect would hinder you from completing it. You would want to impress your audience by giving out your best. 

3: Not finding the right word: At times you can't find the right word to express what you're writing about, you become laconic till you become speechless. 

4: No inspiration: What drives you to Carry out your writing is one thing that sustains your flow while writing. The moment you're not inspired to do so, you end up frustrated with your work.

5: Distractions: Staying focused while writing requires your total concentration on your work, your thoughts must be very clear to avoid unnecessary distractions. 

6: Time: Keeping your work too long would cause you dumping it for another one. Every writing work must be two weeks old before publishing in order to ascertain the context of your writing.

Writer's block may have several causes. 

Some are creative problems that originate within an author's work itself.

Other blocks may be produced by adverse circumstances in a writer's life or career: physical illness, depression, the end of a relationship, financial pressures, or a sense of failure.

Spend time carrying out research on your niche 

Go for a walk.

Eliminate distractions 

Do something to get your blood flowing. (Do some exercise)

See a comedy movie (laughter will uplift your mood)

Change your environment.

Read a book. 

Freewrite.

Listen to cool music (try blues or jazz to mix it up).
